About MD Therapy UK

MD Therapy UK is a leading multidisciplinary clinic based in the heart of Glasgow, specialising in sports therapy, osteopathy, and performance recovery. We work with a diverse range of clients — from athletes, rugby players, and gym-goers to professionals and recreational movers — all looking to improve movement, reduce pain, and optimise performance.

We’re expanding our clinical team and are looking for a passionate, skilled MSK/Sports Physiotherapist to join us on a self-employed basis to support our growing client base both in clinic and pitch-side.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated physiotherapist who enjoys combining manual therapy, movement rehab, and client education within a supportive, high-performance environment.

You’ll deliver physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to a variety of clients and athletes, while also supporting local sports teams — including pitch-side rugby cover with our partner clubs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 MSK and sports physiotherapy consultations, manual therapy, and rehabilitation sessions
  • Conduct injury assessments, movement screenings, and return-to-play planning
  • Provide pitch-side cover for rugby matches and training (with appropriate First Aid certification)
  • Maintain accurate clinical notes and ensure best practice in line with professional standards
  • Collaborate with the wider MD Therapy team to ensure optimal client care
  • Contribute to clinic development through high-quality service delivery and client engagement

Requirements:

  • Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or equivalent)
  • HCPC and CSP registered
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in MSK and/or sports physiotherapy
  • Current Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
  • Valid Sports First Aid qualification (minimum RFU Level 2 or equivalent)
  • Confident working independently and managing a varied caseload
  • Strong communication skills and professional bedside manner
  • Willingness to work evenings or weekends (as required for pitch-side support)

Desirable:

  • Experience working within private practice or sports team environments
  • Background in strength and conditioning or rehabilitation programming
  • Knowledge of osteopathic or soft tissue techniques

What We Offer:

  • Competitive self-employed hourly rate (up to £30.75ph)
  • Flexible working hours (up to 24 per week)
  • Access to fully equipped clinic and rehab gym facilities
  • Opportunity to work with local sports clubs and events
  • Supportive, professional environment with growth opportunities
  • Ongoing professional development and collaboration
