Case Study Participants Wanted!

Case Study Participants Wanted!

Osteopathic Articulation

As part of Marc’s recently completed area of study in osteopathic articulation, participants are invited to take part in a series of treatments as part of a case study to help document their experience and provide feedback on the effectiveness of the sessions.

Participants will be asked to complete a pre-screening consultation before committing to any sessions to ensure suitability for treatment.

Who is the case study for?

This case sutdy is particularly seeking individuals experiencing any of the following symptoms or conditions:

  • chronic headaches;
  • lower back pain;
  • neck pain;
  • osteoathritis;
  • reduced joint mobility;
  • recent sports injury or accident;

Similarly, if you have an active lifestyle and spend time working out or playing sports, your body is subjected to additional strain and pressure. This added stress can cause the spine and joints to become misaligned. After spending time engaging in these activities, the body can become prone to pinched nerves, slipped discs, or other alignment problems.

Regular joint mobilisations can help to maintain optimal health in your muscles and joints so you can continue to live the active lifestyle that you love.

How does it work?

This case study will involve an initial assessment and pre-screening consultation followed by 3 manipulative therapy sessions.

Feedback will be sought after each session to inform the next steps and a short interview will be requested after the 3rd session to understand and document the impact of treatment.

You will be asked to help support the marketing and launch of this new service by sharing your feedback on our social media pages (instagram and facebook) and leaving a review on our testimonials page.

How do I sign up to participate in case study?

To request your participation in the case study, you are invited to register here.

Note: there is no charge to take part in the case study but you will be requested to pay an initial deposit of £50 to confirm your space.

The deposit is fully refundable upon completing your third session OR this payment may be used towards the cost of any further ongoing treatment you wish to receive.

Are there any risks during this treatment?

Osteopathic articulation and joint mobilisations typically involve:

  • A low velocity, short lever mobilisation applied to a vertebra or joint
  • A relieving sensation most of the time, although minor discomfort has been reported (that usually lasts for a short time duration) if the surrounding muscles are in spasm or the patient tenses up during the movement

Joint mobilisationss are generally safe when performed correctly by a trained and suitably qualified therapist.

Some people may experience side effects from treatment, such as:

  • aches and pains
  • stiffness
  • tiredness

These side effects are usually mild and pass in a few days.

You may be asked to speak to your GP before committing to treatment if there are any contraindications presented during the pre-screening process.
